So you have a carbine rifle, now what? Having a tool that you dont know how to use is worthless. Do you know how to shoot it? Sight it in? Proper magazine changes? How to clear malfunctions? Ballistics and what the cartridge will actually do? How to clean it? These are just some of the important aspects of owning and using a carbine. To get the full potential from it, you need this class. Taught by Pete Edmonds, 14 years law enforcement and 7 years on a full time tactical team with over 2000 high risk missions and assignments. With extensive experience on the use and deployment of weapons in real missions. One of three classes in a series on the use and deployment of the carbine rifle. Here is what we will cover and learn in this 2 day class:
Basic Shooting Skills – Shooting Positions – Carry Positions – Loading and Unloading – Magazine changes – Clearing malfunctions – Sighting in the iron sights – Sighting in the Optical Sight – Use of Backup sights – Nomenclature – Weapons Maintenance – Equipment Selection – Qualification and Skills Certification – Certificate of Completion
Class is conducted on an Outdoor Firing Range.
Requirements: Carbine Rifle Chambered in 5.56/.223 in an AR-15 Platform or similar (AR-15, CAR-15, M-4 Carbine, SCAR, Sig556 and other similar rifles, Pistol Caliber Carbines are also acceptable) 3 Magazines, 1000 Rounds, Eye and Ear Protection.
Recommended: 5 Magazines, Magazine Pouches for extra magazines, Sling, Knee and Elbow Pads
